Mr. Jones brings over 35 years of experience in executive management, operations, financial and strategic planning. Mr. Jones has an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of Pittsburgh and a B.A. in Economics from Rice University. Prior to joining Sunbelt, Mr. Jones held senior executive roles at the following firms: Prinicpal, JMJ & Associates. Founder and excutive officer of a management consulting firm providing business advice, counseling and mentoring to the small business community in association with the Institute for Independent Business. In the private sector, benefited commercial clients with improved sales, profitability and cash flow through application of strategic planning and professional, practical business solutions. U.S. District Court-Apointed Monitor. Appointed by the court in a deceptive trade practices case brought by the Federal Trade Commission against a telemarketing company to oversee the defendants’ business activities related to the discontinuance of certain credit card programs, including the return of approximately $1,000,000 in non-negotiated checks and money orders and the response to all oral and written communications with the defendants’ 450,000 customers of these programs President & Chief Operating Officer, OASIS. Responsible for the creation and operations of Outsourced Automated Services and Integrated Solutions, Inc. (OASIS), a wholly owned subsidiary of the reorganized Eastern Air Lines, Inc. formed as a cost-effective vehicle to create and build value by capitalizing on certain specialized intellectual and technology assets of Eastern. Established and led three operating subsidiaries under the OASIS umbrella in providing various outsourced application services initially oriented to the transportation industry. The three operating subsidiaries were: Oasis Reservation Services, Inc. (reservations centers); Ionosphere Technologies, Inc (airline resource management software); and Oasis Environmental Services, Inc. (environmental compliance and reporting solutions). Chief Administrative Officer for the Eastern Bankruptcy Estate. Reporting directly to the court-appointed Trustee administering Eastern’s estate, was responsible for all computer and telecommunications support, all environmental and ground safety issues, the processing and resolution of all bankruptcy claims against Eastern’s estate, archival services for corporate records, and other general administrative services. Eastern Air Lines, Vice-President of In-Flight Services. Mr. Jones was responsible for managing all cabin service operations for the airline covering 77 cities in both North and South America, including the provision of all onboard food and beverage services, direct line management and crew scheduling of over 7,500 flight attendants, and complete accountability for an annual budget exceeding $300 million. |
