Mr. Patraka brings over 35 years of experience in operating businesses as an owner / founder and a corporate officer, and extensive experience as a marketing leader across a range of industries. Mr. Patraka earned a B.S. from Long Island University. Prior to joining Sunbelt, Mr. Patraka held senior executive roles at the following firms: Classic International LLC, Founder and Managing Director. Classic International is an international sourcing company for a vast range of consumer products manufactured in South America and Asia. Mr. Patraka was responsible for identifying foreign companies, whose products fit the requirements of national and regional supermarket chains, drug store chains and mass merchants, and marketing those products within the United States. Fleer Collectibles, LLC, Vice President and General Manager. Fleer is a manufacturer of die cast collectable miniature replica vehicles emblazoned with the licensed logos and designs of the National Football League, Major League Baseball, the National Basketball Association, and the National Hockey League. Mr. Patraka was responsible for the in-house design of products, the manufacturing in China, and the sale to every major professional league team stadium and store, sporting goods chain and thousands of sports and collectible dealers throughout the United States and in several foreign companies. Acquisition Search, Principal. Acquisition, a services firm, represented high net-worth individuals and focused on identifying strategic and stand-alone acquisitions for their respective portfolios. Mr. Patraka's responsibilities included developing sources for deal flow, identifying candidates, negotiating terms of sale, and the due diligence process. VSI International, Inc. (formerly Visual Scene, Inc.), Co-Founder and President. VSI, a leading non-prescription eyewear company, imported, marketed, and distributed products to domestic and international drug store chains, supermarket chains, and mass retailers. Mr. Patraka was responsible for marketing, sales and virtually every operation at different times and finalized the first exclusive supply agreement in the sunglass and reading glass industry with the largest convenience store chain in the world. He was responsible for negotiating and executing an $85.0 million supply agreement with the largest drug store chain by store count in the United States, which to that date and perhaps to the present is the largest single supply agreement for sunglasses, eyeglasses, and eye care accessories. He traveled extensively overseas to establish supplier relationships for imported products from various countries in Europe, Asia, South America, and other offshore locations. Mr. Patraka was responsible for bringing department store fashion and quality at affordable prices to the consuming public and displaying products on state-of-the-art point of purchase displays designed by award-winning designers and produced in-house. Under his marketing responsibilities, he invented a unique inventory replenishment system that revolutionized the industry’s in-store inventory management of sunglass, reading glass, and eye care accessories. Rayex Corporation, Vice President of Marketing and Sales. Rayex was a major domestic manufacturer and marketer of popular-priced sunglasses, cosmetic make-up mirrors, hair accessories, and smoking pipes. The vertically-integrated company with 500 employees manufactured its products from the initial processes of injection molding and wire forming to the finished product. Mr. Patraka was responsible for all purchasing and had marketing and sales management responsibilities for the six New England States, the Middle Atlantic Region, and all national accounts. |
